Pioneer Art Festival - Exhibit & Sale!
Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Wheeler Farm
6351 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, Utah
Admission to the Farm and the Festival is free to the public!
The Praiseworthy Arts Foundation is teaming up with Utah Pioneer Heritage Arts for a whoppin' pioneer-packed day. We're only a hoot-n-holler away so bring the whole clan and join us for the all-out art event of Utah's Pioneer Day Celebrations!
Dozens of the dandiest landscape and figure artists of the West will set up their easels en plein air fashion to the fascination and delight of stroll-by observers. Sculptors will work their timeless magic right before your eyes! And fabulous photographers will provide plenty of good ol' fashioned opportunities to be pictured in print!
Pioneer reenactors with authentic costumes and gear will portray tough and tender scenes from pioneer life; while singers, songwriters, musicians, and storytellers take you to another time and place with their true and touching tales.
And the best part of all? You can be a part – in more ways than one! Have you, your children, or your grandmother ever wanted to model for a painting? Well, here's your chance. Click on the pioneer "Model Search" in the tab bar above.
