The farmer's day starts early at Wheeler Farm with milking the cows, feeding the pigs, and other daily farm chores.
And the Pioneer Art Festival is not a wit behind! Artists will be there by sunup with paints, easels, and art booth materials. It will be a bustling morning getting things ready for the day. Come be a part – as early as you'd like.
6 am – 8 am Artists' set-up time and Early Bird contest. The farm is open to the public during these hours.
8 am – 5 pm Jam-packed activities for the public to enjoy. See detailed schedule below.
5 pm – 6 pm Chuck Wagon BBQ & Social Hour. $15 advanced tickets by July 16. See Registration tab above.
6 pm – 9 pm After Hours plein air contest and awards ceremony. Final hour of art sales.

Early Bird Brush Strokes – 2 Hour Quick Draw Contest (winners announced after 5 pm)
• Winner receives $200 cash award
• Invited artists will be painting at handpicked spots throughout the farm – come and watch them at work!

8 am
Opening Ceremony (hay wagon stage by pavilion)
• Posting of the flag, Civil War bugler, national anthem, and prayer
• Introduction of artists and Plein Air send-off

Run the Hoop Trundling I K and you'll understand why the pioneers were a jovial lot (west lawn by playground)

• Winner receives a "Playful Pioneer" Fine Art Print
9 am – 5 pm
